Alun Davies is a consummate professional he was instrumental in launch and development of HEINEKEN South Africa Business as an independent entity post the demerger from Diageo in 2015. He guided the year-on-year market share growth through rigors management of the third-party execution sales force in the formal off trade retail channel. I collaborated closely with him over four-fifths-year period as a client executive from Smollan Group and he served as part of the SLT (Sales Leadership Team).

As a team member he demonstrated, high level of intuitive, introspective, active listener, curious, continue learning, creative, empathic, and analytical skills. All these qualities made him an exception coach and mentor to me direct as well as fellow colleagues. Even though he was a team member we looked up to him for leadership particularly from formal retail perspective. Lastly not withstanding all is exceptional qualities but one that really stands out is his ability to make and maintain relationships across functions/levels both to client and retailers.
