What is Executive Coaching ?
Definition
A form of development in which an experienced person, called a coach, supports an individual in achieving specific personal or professional goals.
My Purpose
Target specific skills and goals, often with a short-term or immediate objective.
Intensity
A high-intensity interaction, where the coach and coachee meet for 2 hours monthly. [Can be more frequently upon both parties agreeing]
My Approach
Structured and goal-orientated, with specific outcomes in mind. This can, in the initial phase, include the coachee's line manager to ensure alignment and end with a similar meeting to sign off the process and to evaluate the role of the coach.
My Outcome
Immediate improvement in specific area's and/or achievement of particular goals.
Example
A leadership coach helping to develop improved strategic management skills.
When to Choose Executive Coaching ?
- Focused on developing a specific skill set or addressing / improving a particular area of opportunity.
- Seeking structured guidance with clear, measurable goals.
- Needing immediate feedback and improvement in a specific area.
- Requiring help for a defined period to overcome a specific challenge.
At ADInspired, I use the below industry model when partnering with a client for a coaching agreement. This can however shift, be re-directed and nurtured into a changing direction based on the clients needs and the evolving process. It is imperative that the appropriate and relevant approach be tailor made to establish maximum benefit to the client and their subsequent stakeholders.
The intent with executive coaching is for the client to be encouraged and guided to establish ideas and solutions for themselves. Open-ended questions, a thorough analysis and understanding of the clients environment and challenges whilst deriving collectively a set of measurable goals to work towards. This is a process of support, guidance, exploration, transparency, trust, empathy and care.
The coaching process, once agreed and the contract signed, will be administered as per the Clients request and will take place over the agreed period. I am willing to sign the clients provided NDA and ADInspired's Privacy and PAIA Policies will also provide further confidentiality to a process guaranteed to be discreet.
My career responsibilities have required me to operate at the highest level, managing sensitive data and information necessitating the application of the strictest legal and corporate governance guidelines.
